Getting Connected

Available in three configurations—single HDMI (UGA-HDMI-S), dual HDMI (UGA-HDMI-2S), and single DisplayPort (UGA-DP-S)—Plugable’s new graphics adapters feature a hybrid 2-in-1 USB 3.0 and USB-C cable for a quick and easy connection back to the host computer. It doesn’t matter if you connect through a USB 3.0 port or a Thunderbolt 4 port, you can count on resolutions up to 1920x1080 @ 60Hz.

The Fine Print

Although ideal for users working with web and productivity apps—like Google Docs, or the Windows Office Suite—these adapters are not recommended for graphics-intensive or design work. And you’ll run into problems with video playback on sites like Netflix and Hulu. On Mac, screen rotation is not available and clamshell mode is only available on macOS 12 when the laptop is connected to its power adapter. SMI driver download is required for Windows. SMI instant view is required for Mac.
